Terms governing use of Personal Mail MCP. In force as of 27 August 2026.
Personal Mail MCP ("the software") is a locally installed utility that connects an AI assistant to its operator's own Gmail account. It is not a hosted service. There is no account to create, nothing to purchase, and no server operated by anyone. These terms govern use of the software by whoever installs and runs it.
The software is provided for personal use. Whoever runs it does so on their own computer, under their own Google Cloud project, with their own credentials.
The software may be used only to access Google Accounts that the person running it owns or is expressly authorized to access. Using it to access anyone else's mailbox without authorization is prohibited, and may also be unlawful.
Use of the software involves Google's APIs and is therefore also subject to the Google Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy. Where those terms conflict with these, Google's terms govern.
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It may contain defects, may fail to retrieve data correctly, and may become unavailable if Google changes its APIs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, no author or contributor shall be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or its use. The person running the software is solely responsible for the consequences of doing so, including reviewing any draft before sending it.
Use may be discontinued at any time by revoking the software's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions and deleting the software from the machine.
Any change to these terms will be published on this page with an updated date.
